Tiffahny Hoole is an associate in the corporate and commercial practice at Varners. She holds an LL.B (Hons) from the University of London and a Diploma in International Relations. Tiffahny also serves as an assistant lecturer for Company Law (previously for Equity and Trust) in the Bachelor of Laws program conducted by a prestigious institution in Colombo.
Tiffahny is frequently engaged in commercial transaction matters, advising and working on matters ranging from the preparation and drafting of due diligence reports to the drafting and review of share purchase agreements and other related commercial documents for both local and international clients. She is experienced in assisting clients with registration processes at the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka and the Colombo Port City.
In her advisory role, Tiffahny has co-authored legal reports and opinions on setting up businesses in Sri Lanka, with a significant focus on foreign exchange, company law, and employment law. She has also explored her interest in litigation, participating in various cases related to employment law, commercial law, and securities law.
Previously, Tiffahny worked at an economic think tank in Colombo, where she co-authored a report on female labour force participation in Sri Lanka, highlighting the labour laws that impede women's advancement in the workforce.
