Sahan serves as an Associate in our Intellectual Property practice. He joined the Firm in 2017 and is an Attorney-at-Law.

He is involved in a range of IP matters with a particular focus on trademarks. He represents clients before the National Intellectual Property Office in both ex-parte inquiries and oppositions relating to trademarks. He has experience carrying out investigations in regard to counterfeit goods, drafting cease and desist notices, and advises clients on how to rationalize and optimize their trademark portfolios.

His current responsibilities include registration, prosecution and renewal of IP rights, for both domestic and international clients. In addition to his usual legal duties, he also contributes to streamlining the workflow of the Firm's IP practice, and is keen on introducing digital technology / IT enabled workflow methodologies.

As an instructing attorney, he represents the Firm in litigation matters related to intellectual property and looks after clients' interests.
